UPOS Members Meet to
Generate Ideas for Master Plan

On June 25, more than 30 members of Upper Providence for Open Space met at the Rose Tree Fire House to hear an update on the development of a Master Plan for Scott Park and surrounding municipal lands and to generate ideas for what might be done for the property.  After President Jane Ferry provided the status of the County Committee working on the plan, the members met as small groups and generated a host of thoughts on how to preserve and protect the parkland, how trails might be implemented through the park, what structures and improvements might be made to the property, and possible connections to other parks and greenways in the county.  The ideas will be circulated back to the entire membership before they are presented to the county's committee for developing the plan.  Below is a map of the areas that will be included in the plan:
