On October 9-10, the park received one of the heavier rains of the past several years. The water reached the wall at the bottom of the driveway, and covered the bottom trail at several locations with several inches of water. The meadow was completely underwater and trails in the pines near the creek were completely submerged. The extent of the flooding appeared to exceed the current floodplain delineation by a substantial amount.
We were able to arrive fairly early in the morning after the rains had stopped, and while the water was already receding, we were able to capture some great pictures of the flood.
